The media is
often termed as the fourth pillar of democracy and rightly so, it is the medium
through which the people come to know about all that is happening politically
and socially. The politicians who handle the nation are elected by the people
of the country.
Their duty is to serve the nation in the best manner possible.
However, at times it is very important to know about all that is cooking behind
the veils. The corrupt politicians often take the nation for a ride. So amongst
the people rise a segment of courageous people who question the malpractices by
the politicians. They uncover the truth; they investigate the lies and publicly
question the so called public representatives who serve the nation.
One such
courageous news anchor and reporter is Shahram Shahramian. Throughout his life,
he has been fighting for truth. His news show on tv channel TeNTV News, is one
of the most popular shows of the nation. Shown on prime time at 8, when his
show is telecast, the roads wear a barren look, as people make an effort to
reach home before the show begins. However there is good news for people who
cannot reach home on time, or don’t have a television connection due to any
reason. Shahram Shahramian now has his
own website where all his recent episodes have been uploaded, with date. So for
all those who missed last week’s episode, fret not. For those who loved last
week’s episode, or any other episode, they need not sulk; all you have to do is
check the world wide web.

Shahramian has interviewed many politicians and eminent personalities of the
nation. He always makes the interviewees comfortable and then goes on to tackle
the more difficult questions, all with a wide smile and a wicked sense of humour.
It’s a treat to watch him on air. And the audience is always appalled by his
charm and charisma.
